This is quite an ambitious design for a 'personal' software project, so we'll see how it goes...I'll keep the main PIMP project page updated as the work progresses, and I'll make snapshot releases available at regular intervals - see the top of the main PIMP page for the latest version. • Database maintenance functions built-in and not reliant on any external RDBMS.
• Offline access to image information for images that have been archived to removable media for safe storage
• Generation of CD images for both photo albums and offline storage.
• Album generator should be able to request the relevant archive media for images not available locally.
• Customisable by the EU for local preferences.
• Take full advantage of EXIF tag information embedded in the pictures.
